Master of Arts in Education (MAEd)

Location(s): River Forest Campus

Students who complete an endorsement program through the School of Education may elevate to degree-seeking status and apply endorsement coursework toward the Master of Arts in Education (MAEd).

Endorsement programs typically require 18 credit hours. After admission to the MAEd program, candidates complete additional graduate coursework to reach a total of 30 credit hours. In most cases, this requires an additional 12 credit hours. All courses are 3 credit hours.

This program provides a flexible pathway for working teachers. Candidates apply credits earned through their endorsement and, in consultation with an advisor, select additional graduate-level coursework from the School of Education to meet degree requirements. Course selection is individualized and must align with prerequisite requirements.
