Required Courses

• SOC 110 - Introduction to Sociology

• Nine hours in sociology electives numbered below SOC 372 (excluding SOC 361  and SOC 362 , which are open only to majors)

•  

• Six hours in social theory selected from:

• SOC 380 - Social Inequality
• SOC 382 - Social Change
• SOC 385 - Critical Theoretical Approaches to Race and Ethnicity
• SOC 390 - Theoretical Approaches to Health, Society, and Aging
• SOC 407 - Classical Social Theory
• SOC 409 - Contemporary Social Theory

Additional Requirements:

Course substitutions are permitted when deemed necessary in consultation with an advisor and subject to the approval of the department chair.

A minimum of four courses in the minor field must be completed at Dominican.
