ID 104 - Academic Coaching

1 Credit Hours
ID 104 Academic Coaching is a required, intensive academic support course for undergraduate students who are on academic notice. There are 15 required face-to-face contact hours with a course instructor, by arrangement. Course instructors will provide students with an individualized academic plan, focused on developing study skills, self-management strategies, and help-seeking behaviors. Using a strengths-based approach, course instructors will create a culture of collaboration using academic conversations focused on student accountability and responsibility. ID 104 provides persistent student-focused support to enhance academic success and personal development. This course is satisfactory/unsatisfactory and may be repeated, but the credit only counts toward graduation the first time it is earned. Students who do not pass the course and remain on academic notice must repeat the course; students who have passed the course but remain on academic notice are encouraged to repeat it.
