CV 300 - Career and Vocation: Presenting Yourself Professionally

1 Credit Hours
This course provides a structured opportunity for students to develop stronger oral communication skills by focusing on the components of effective rhetoric. As students’ skills increase, more advanced interviewing techniques are introduced; students continue to build self-awareness, career self-efficacy, and a deeper understanding of their own career and calling through reflection and networking activities. Along with multiple opportunities to receive feedback on their oral communication skills, students deliver a professional field-based presentation as part of their final project. Prerequisite(s): CV 200 Leveraging Your Strengths; junior level standing 

Prerequisite(s): CV 200  and Junior standing.

This course will satisfy the core area requirement in career and vocation
