LLAS 205 - Introduction to Latinx Studies 3 Credit Hours An examination of the contemporary experiences of different United States-based Latino groups focusing on regional, national and global processes. Using critical race paradigms, ethnic, racial, and gendered categorizations and understandings are examined and deconstructed. Latinx cultures based in the United States are framed within wider social, cultural and political institutions. This course utilizes intersectional analyses to examine diverse experiences of communities, politics, policies, identities, immigration, economics, language, religion, gender, and sexuality.
