SOC 385 - Critical Approaches to Race and Ethnicity 3 Credit Hours This course examines race & ethnicity in the United States from a structural and critical perspective. It highlights the ideologies, behaviors, policies, procedures/practices, and structures that produce and maintain and reduce racial & ethnic inequality in the U.S.

Prerequisite(s): SOC 110 and junior standing, or consent of instructor.
This course will satisfy the core area requirement in social justice and sustainability.
