SOC 110 - Introduction to Sociology 3 Credit Hours Introduction to the discipline of sociology as a tool for the study of human life. Through a survey of basic sociological perspectives and theories, this course examines the social institutions of everyday life in order to become aware of the way human action and human actors shape and are shaped by their societies.
Listed also as AMST 110 and BWS 110
Prerequisite(s): First semester students are required to take this class as face-to-face, hybrid, or OSM/Zoom.
This course will satisfy the core area requirement in social sciences or science literacy.
