SOC 362 - Introduction to Research Methods 4 Credit Hours This course introduces the logic of social science research and important methodological and epistemological issues. It also introduces the basic research methods used by sociologists including content analysis, surveys, experiments, evaluation research, participant observation and ethnography, and/or qualitative interviews.
Prerequisite(s): SOC 110 and junior standing, or consent of instructor; sociology and criminology majors only.
This course will satisfy the core area requirement in science literacy.
This course will satisfy the core requirement in technological and information literacy.
