NURS 444 - Adult Nursing III: Advanced Medical-Surgical Credit Hours 3, 3 Focus is the holistic care of high acuity patients and families in crisis situations. Students integrate contemporary concepts with the best nursing evidence to foster growth in knowledge, clinical competencies, and role of professional nurse. Students will integrate critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and ethical principles to provide safe, quality care and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create health promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention strategies. Clinical experience will be in a variety of acute care settings. Lecture (3 hours) and clinical rotation (3 hours) must be completed concurrently. Successful completion of this course is a grade of C or higher in lecture and a grade of pass is the clinical requirements Fall
Prerequisite(s): NURS 313 , NURS 314 , NURS 322 , NURS 323 , and NURS 324 .
