NURS 435 - Nursing of Children & Families

Credit Hours 2,2
Application of professional nursing concepts related to the holistic care of children and their families within their communities. Theoretical content specific to children from infancy through adolescence includes physiological, pathophysiological, and psychosocial concepts. Clinical experiences incorporate health promotion and acute and chronic illness management in the simulation laboratory, inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. Lecture (2 hrs) and clinical rotation (2 hours) must be completed concurrently. Successful completion of this course is a grade of C or higher in lecture and a grade of pass in the clinical requirements.  Fall

Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of NURS 313 NURS 314 NURS 322 NURS 323 , and NURS 324
