NURS 434 - Nursing of the Childbearing Family Credit Hours 2, 2 Focuses on the application of professional nursing concepts related to holistic care of the childbearing family and their neonate. Theoretical content includes physiological, pathophysiological, sociocultural, and ethical concepts. Student clinical experiences take place in the simulation laboratory and variety of obstetrical settings. Lecture (2 hrs) and clinical rotation (2 hours) must be completed concurrently. Successful completion of this course is a grade of C or higher in lecture and grade of pass in the clinical requirements. Fall
Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of NURS 313 , NURS 314 , NURS 322 , NURS 323 , and NURS 324 .
