NSC 138 - Biotechnology and Society 3 hours This course examines the role of biotechnology in human society. Basic concepts in genetics, recombinant DNA technology, and molecular biology will be presented and discussed in order to serve as a foundation for understanding the benefit and the ethical questions that arise from the use of derived technologies in agriculture, medicine, ecology, and industry.
