HIST 301 - Jerusalem From Antiquity to the Present 3 hours This class examines the history of many people, states, conflicts, and beliefs through the story of Jerusalem. We begin with the founding of the city, and then study its fate when ruled by many outsiders, including the Babylonians, Romans, Arabs, Crusaders, Ottoman Turks, and British. We conclude by looking at the divided city in the nation of Israel.
This course may be applied to the global history concentration.
Prerequisite(s): ENGL 102 or consent of department.
This course will satisfy the history core area requirement and multicultural core requirement.
