LAS 233 - Food in the U.S. Today: Production, Choice, and Policy 3 hours How is food produced in the United States today? Food politics and policies in the United States have heated up in recent years as legislators, regulators, educators, farmers, and many others battle over subsidies, restrictions, and questions of public health. What shapes our choices as consumers? How do these choices impact our lives and our communities? We will explore these critical issues as we learn about food production in the United States.
Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing.
