MBA
Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree courses deliver the skills employers seek and fit the schedule of working students. Our program offers weekday evening courses, delivered on-campus, online or in a hybrid format. Students may complete their program on a part-time or full-time basis. Dominican University offers two MBA pathways to help students prepare for careers in business: the traditional MBA and the MBA Plus.
DEGREE REQUIREMENTS: TRADITIONAL MBA
A candidate for the MBA degree will normally need to complete at least 30 credit hours. The structure of the degree is as follows:
Prerequisites (0CH):
Students are expected to begin the MBA program with basic knowledge in six business fields: accounting, economics, finance, law, management and statistics. Students can meet this requirement in one of two ways:
- Undergraduate coursework - students receiving a grade of B or better in an equivalent undergraduate course are assumed to have met the pre-requisites.
- Brennan Foundations Courses -Students can complete these 0 CH courses, at no cost, throughout their program.

Foundation Courses
The MBA requires the completion of up to six 0-hour foundation courses. MBA Plus Program
As they complete their ten core courses, students may pursue their elective course in order to earn complete their MBA Plus degree. To earn an MBA Plus degree in acccounting, data analytics or healthcare administration at least 9 credit hours of additional course work must be completed from the selected area as specified below.
