Fashion Design - B.A.

Location(s): River Forest Campus


The Fashion Design major combines creative development with technical skill, preparing students to design and construct original garments for a range of markets. Students build a strong foundation in apparel construction, patternmaking, draping, textiles, and digital design, while developing their own aesthetic and creative direction.

Coursework emphasizes both concept and execution, guiding students from initial inspiration through final garment production. Students gain experience working with diverse materials, techniques, and design processes while building a professional portfolio.

The program supports career paths in fashion design, product development, costume design, and related creative industries.
