Latinx/Latin American Studies Minor

Students majoring in any discipline can enroll in the Latinx/Latin American Studies Minor. The Latinx/Latin American Studies Minor is an interdisciplinary curriculum that explores the histories and cultures of the peoples of Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, and South America. The minor is also designed to give students an opportunity to develop an understanding of the diverse groups that comprise the U.S. Latinx populations.

Minor Requirements: 

The minor requires a minimum of 22 credit hours 

Language Courses


(1 course, 4 credit hours)

One four-hour Spanish language course offered by the Spanish Language and Transcultural Studies Department from the following list. Students place into one of these courses based on their language assessment. Courses satisfy the one course Core LOTE (Language other than English) requirement.
