The Bachelor of Professional Studies in Criminal Justice Administration takes a critical look at the American criminal justice system. Students will study the formal structures of this system, as well as the societal factors that influence it and proposals for its reform. Consistent with Dominican University’s longstanding commitment to social justice, students are required to complete a course in professional ethics on top of at least one ethics unit in each class. Courses are conveniently offered in the evenings at Triton College or online in an accelerated 8-week format.
Graduates of the program will be prepared to work for law enforcement agencies at the municipal, county, state, and federal levels, as well as social service agencies and law firms that engage with the criminal justice system. Job opportunities for program graduates include police officer, probation officer, corrections officer, loss control manager and fish & game warden. In addition, the rigorous foundation coursework will prepare students for graduate or professional school.

- Transfer credit of up to 68 semester credit hours from community colleges or up to 90 semester credit hours from a combination of community colleges and 4-year colleges or universities may be granted.
