Master of Science in Nutrition with a Coordinated Program in Dietetics

This graduate degree prepares students to become a qualified entry-level Registered Dietitian skilled in community, food service management, clinical nutrition, outpatient nutrition, and specialty practice areas within the field. The streamlined program allows students to complete the minimum of 1000 hour supervised practice requirement and a master’s degree in nutrition in just 39-credits. After successful completion of the program, graduates with be able to sit for the Registered Dietitian Examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Upon completion, interns receive a verification statement for the CDR eligibility application to take the Registration Examination for Dietitians.To qualify for admission, students must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or post-baccalaureate certificate in nutrition and dietetics, 3.0 GPA, GRE score (required score ONLY if GPA is below 3.0), personal statement, current resume, two letters of reference (one from a work/volunteer supervisor and one from a professor/instructor), official transcripts documenting a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and an official transcript from each college attended, CANTS Background Check Form, and a grade of B- or better must be earned in all ACEND-required DPD Professional Courses. Interns admitted to the program are expected to follow the specific policies and procedures described in the Coordinated and ISPP Program in Dietetics Student Handbook in addition to the guidelines in this Bulletin.
