The English department elevates and hones students’ critical reading, writing, thinking, and speaking skills, in order to prepare students for meaningful work in their careers and enhance their personal lives and community involvement. We focus our study on literature and writing because of the crucial role of language, art, narrative, and storytelling in shaping and changing the world.
