Italian Culture in Context

Italian Language and Culture Concentration:  This path toward the Italian major blends advanced language proficiency with a comprehensive study of culture. Those students interested in the internship at Chicago’s Italian Trade Agency are encouraged to pursue the Italian Language and Culture Concentration

Italian Culture in Context Concentration:  This path toward the Italian major highlights the study of culture by way of texts in translation.  Students are required to complete the two intermediate level Italian 201 and 202 courses.  The remaining credit hours may be fulfilled by any coursework offered by the Italian Discipline.

For either concentration, no more than two 1.5 credit courses may count for the major. A minimum of one-half the courses in the major field must be completed at Dominican.
