Master of Science-Nutrition with Supervised Practice


This graduate degree prepares students to become a qualified entry-level Registered Dietitian skilled in community, food service management, clinical nutrition, outpatient nutrition, and specialty practice areas within the field. The streamlined program allows students to complete the 1000 hour supervised practice requirement and a master’s degree in nutrition in just 39-credits. After successful completion of the program, graduates with be able to sit for the Registered Dietitian Examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Upon completion, interns receive a verification statement for the CDR eligibility application to take the Registration Examination for Dietitians.To qualify for admission, students must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or post-baccalaureate certificate in nutrition and dietetics, 3.0 GPA, GRE score (required score ONLY if GPA is below 3.0), personal statement, two letters of reference, and documentation that the applicant did not match to another dietetic internship through D&D digital with the DICAS application. Interns admitted to the program are expected to follow the specific policies and procedures described in the Coordinated and ISPP Program Student Handbook in addition to the guidelines in this Bulletin. See specific guidelines in the Coordinated and ISPP Programs in Dietetics Handbook on our website.
