The Bachelor of Professional Studies in Public Administration investigates the unique and evolving nature of public sector leadership. Government agencies serve a variety of constituencies and respond to a variety of economic pressures, all of which factor into effective, efficient and ethical public administration. Consistent with Dominican University’s longstanding commitment to social justice, students are required to complete a course in professional ethics on top of at least one ethics unit in each class. Courses are conveniently offered in the evenings at Triton College or online in an accelerated 8-week format.
Graduates of the program will be prepared to work in government agencies, nonprofit organizations or governmental relations departments. Job opportunities for program graduates include civil service administrator, government relations specialist and nonprofit manager. In addition, the rigorous foundation coursework will prepare students for graduate or professional school.

- Most classes are offered in an 8-week format
- Transfer credit of up to 68 semester credit hours from community colleges or up to 90 semester credit hours from a combination of community colleges and 4-year colleges or universities may be granted.
