LIS 733 - Serials Management3 hours
An overview of continuing resources with an emphasis on serials. A study of the processes that comprise serials control (selection, acquisitions, bibliographic and holdings control, and processing, especially in a library integrated system environment); serials publishing issues and trends, including electronic publishing and licensing; policy, administration, and cooperative ventures; and future developments of serials in national and international arenas.
Prerequisite(s): LIS 701, LIS 703, and LIS 704. LIS 770 highly recommended.
