INF 456 - User Services3 hours This course surveys established and emerging face-to-face and online information seeking services and resources. Students will prototype a variety of information services for an array of users, including corporate employees, library patrons, students, and more using their knowledge of information seeking behaviors. These services will be based on the students’ broad understanding of reference materials, databases, and websites, which will be developed in-class. Learning experiences in this course include experiential learning—via information seeking labs and the creation of information services—and literature-based discussion.
Prerequisite(s): INF 110 and INF 120
