LAS 329 - Work, Identity, and Class in Latino/a Chicago3 hours In this Junior seminar, students will engage the issues of national identity, poverty, and the “invisibility” of the Latin@ working class in Chicago from circa 1910’s to today. In a seminar format, students will study current interdisciplinary research on the topic and learn about the challenges and opportunities involved in breaking through the so-called “blue-collar ceiling.”
