HIST 312 - American Intellectual History3 hours This course is an overview of intellectual trends and developments in America beginning with European inheritance and focusing upon the later development of ideas and value systems native to America. The course will attempt to tie ideological developments to actual events with a view to showing that ideas do have the power to affect events.
This course may be applied to the United States history concentration.
