BIOL 268 - Animal Behavior4 hours In this course we study the proximate and ultimate causes of animal behavior from an evolutionary perspective. Topics include foraging strategies, social competition, sexual selection, mating systems, cooperation, and social organization. The laboratory will include multi-week experiments designed to test hypotheses. Students will build aptitude in data analysis and interpretation, and close reading of the primary literature. Field trips required. Lecture and laboratory.
