HIST 213 - Modern China Since 18003 hours This course examines Chinese responses to westernization from the Opium War to the post-Mao era. The course places contemporary China in the intellectual, social, political, and economic framework of a century and a half of revolution.
This course may be applied to the global history concentration.
Prerequisite(s): ENGL 102 or consent of the department
This course will satisfy the history core area requirement and the multicultural core requirement.
