THEO 354 - Great Christian Thinkers3 hours This course provides an opportunity to reach up to and engage the minds of outstanding figures in the Christian tradition. The focus may be the writings of a single figure (e.g., Origen, Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, Catherine of Siena, Karl Barth, Karl Rahner, or Gustavo Gutierrez) or the engagement of two or more theologians in dialogue, often on a single problem or theme (e.g., sin and grace, eschatology, revelation, ethics, biblical interpretation, or religious pluralism).
Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing or consent of instructor.
This course will satisfy the theology core area requirement.
