HIST 144 - History of the American People From 18773 hours At the end of Reconstruction, a new America emerged, marked by rapid expansion, industrial growth, and technological change. In the 20th century, America became a world power. Four wars, a major depression, and incredible scientific, technological, and industrial development altered the economic, social, political, and intellectual life of Americans in the second half of the 20th century.This course may be applied to the United States History concentration.
