ARTH 235 - Baroque Art

This course will examine visual art of the Baroque era (c.1600-1700) in Southern and Northern Europe from a variety of perspectives or ways of seeing. Class lectures will take a biographical/chronological approach to exploring the lives and works of leading Baroque artists in Italy, Spain, Flanders, England, the Dutch Republic, and France.

This course satisfies the fine arts core area requirement.
