THEO 360 - Religion and Politics3 hours Whether the context has been the fall of the Roman Empire, European expansion into the New World, the rise of Nazism, or recent responses to terrorism, the Christian theological tradition has included diverse and often conflicting views. This course explores theologically such topics as understandings of social order, politics, and eschatology, the uses of coercion, and the quest to identify a people’s “common good”.
Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing or consent of instructor.
This course will satisfy the theology core area requirement.
