HNSM 154 - Characters of Faith and Doubt 3 Credit Hours Throughout our lives, each of us goes on a journey of self-discovery, and on the way we are impacted by our family, friends, and mentors. In The Brothers Karamazov, each of Dostoevsky’s characters goes on their own journeys, which represent larger truths to the reader. This course will venture into the story’s resounding themes through character analyses, scene studies, and personal reflection. The common text in the honors first-year seminars, Dostoevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov will be our primary guide as we investigate how, like these characters, we each navigate our moments of faith and doubt.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to the honors program.
