ENGL 215 - Timelines in Literary History 4 Credit Hours An in-depth study of literary history and intellectual genealogy. Students will consider how literary periods are defined, and may focus on one or more periods within or across national traditions and/or may analyze the conceptual, political, and social forces behind the various ways in which historical periods are constructed and understood. Students may take the course number up to three times and concurrently as allowed for with each independent course description. When the specific course is not allowed for repeat credit, such will be indicated in the description.
Prerequisite(s): CRWS 101 or CRWS 105 or admission to the honors program.
This course will satisfy the core area requirement in Literature (LT) or Humanities and Arts (HA); students must complete at least 3 hours in LT and at least 6 hours in HA to complete the core requirement.
