CAS 101 - Introduction to Communication Theory and Practice 3 Credit Hours
INTRODUCTION TO COMMUNICATION THEORY AND PRACTICE-This survey course introduces students to the underlying assumptions and theories used to explain communication in a variety of everyday contexts, including rhetorical and communication studies, mass communication and journalism, and organizational communication and public relations. Emphasis is placed on the relationship between theory and practice so that students will understand the implications of communication in their individual lives and in their communities. May not be taken by students who have successfully completed CAS 204.
