HNSM 148 - Family and Society 3 Credit Hours
Through a study of Dostoevsky’s The Brothers Karamazov, we will explore the intersections of the individual, family and society. We will investigate the varied relationships presented in the novel and consider how they can inform our own lives. Our discussions will focus on the concept of choice and the resulting consequences for the protagonists. Finally, we will look to how our personal choices impact both our families and our societies.
