IM 887 - Network Analysis 3 Credit Hours
Network analysis is an interdisciplinary methodology with a set of integrated techniques to determine the relationships between nodes (entities, actors, or agents) and to analyze the structures that emerge from the patterns of these relations. Network analysis is used in a wide variety of organizations to solve an equally wide range of problems such as computer networks, logistics, business workflows and productivity optimization processes, biomedical product development, public health, contagion modeling, as well as the obvious social media platforms. Students will learn the fundamental concepts, methods and tools of network analysis and gain practical skills in collecting, analyzing and visualizing network data.
Prerequisite(s): IM 704 and IM 720 or other experience programming in Python and approval by the instructor.
