ITAL 282 - Machiavelli 1.5 Credit Hours
An exploration of The Prince and The Mandragola. These two seminal works by Machiavelli helped shape Renaissance literature and continue to be relevant today. We will discuss how a treatise and a comedy connect to Florentine politics and society. Course taught in English. This course will not fulfill Barbantini Family Scholarship course requirements.
Prerequisite(s): 15 college credit hours or consent of instructor.
This course will satisfy the core area requirement in literature if taken with another 1.5 credit course or humanities and arts.
