EDUA 557 - Methods in Middle and Secondary Social Studies 3 Credit Hours
The purpose of this course is to help candidates move further into the role of a teacher. Participants will focus on: content methods of teaching social studies at the middle and secondary levels; long/short-term planning; literacy methods and their application to other disciplines; instructional strategies and attention to English learner needs and methods, and, continued exploration of how pedagogy and core practices of teaching impact classroom culture, environment, and student learning.
