SWG 383 - Gender, Race, and Science: Theoretical Perspectives 3 Credit Hours This course critiques the racialized and gendered foundations of western science and medicine. Course curriculum investigates the historical roots of racist-hetero-patriarchal frameworks and how they continue to influence contemporary thinking in science and medicine. Participants examine evidence of racial and gender bias in science and analyze racism, white supremacy, and hetero-patriarchy in the field. This course is interdisciplinary and intersectional.
