THEO 104 - Introduction to the Study of Religion 3 Credit Hours This course explores a variety of theories and methods, drawn from multiple disciplines, for studying religiously diverse societies. Topics will include definitions of “religion,” as well as case studies including questions of identity, class, power, politics, violence, colonialism, ritual, myth, theology, secularism, and interreligious dialogue.
This course will satisfy the core area requirement in theology.
This course will satisfy the core requirement in multicultural studies.
