SPAN 231 - Spanish Language and Culture for Heritage Speakers 4 Credit Hours This is an intermediate level language course designed specifically for heritage speakers of Spanish to address their specific linguistic needs. The course objectives are to advance fluency in the formal use of language in all areas (writing, speaking, reading, and listening comprehension), and to investigate the cultural aspects of Spanish heritage language experiences in the United States. This course includes an off-campus community-based learning experience.
Prerequisite(s): SPAN 192 , placement exam, or consent of department.
This course will satisfy the core area requirement in language other than English.
This course will satisfy the core requirement in multicultural studies.
