SOC 350 - Gender and Development

3 Credit Hours
The purpose of this course is to examine the changing roles, statuses, opportunities, and options for CIS & Trans women & femmes living in developing countries in the Global South.  The different ways social institutions such as gender, race/ ethnicity, class, sexuality, religion, culture and age shape the lives of women/femmes/transgender around the world will be explored.

Listed also as SWG 351  and LLAS 350  

This course will satisfy the core area requirement in social justice and sustainability

This course will satisfy the core requirement in multicultural studies
