HIST 348 - Race and Ethnicity in the U.S. 3 Credit Hours This course examines the role of ethnic and racial identity in American history, with a focus on the construction of “whiteness.” Readings and discussion for this course will address the immigration experience, the interaction among ethnic and racial groups in America, the creation of ethnic enclaves, and the development of unique hyphenated-American ethnic group identities and how these phenomena have changed over time. This course may be applied to the United States history concentration.
Prerequisite(s): ENGL 101 or CRWS 101
