ENGL 211 - Introductory Studies in Creative Writing 4 (child Course) Credit Hours Study of the fundamentals of good writing in a variety of literary genres - poetry, fiction, drama, and creative non-fiction. Analysis of the work of professionals and students. Short critical and creative pieces in multiple genres are required. Either this course (or the parent course ENGL 111) is required for students electing the writing concentration.
Prerequisite(s): (or corequisites) ENGL 266 or consent of instructor.
This course will satisfy the core area requirement in Literature (LT) and Humanities and Arts (HA); students must complete at least 3 hours in LT and at least 6 hours in HA to complete the core requirement.
