CIS 120 - Introduction to Computer Applications

3 Credit Hours
An introduction to computer applications and their use in today’s world. This course emphasizes a hands-on approach and uses some of the leading software applications available for personal computers today. Major topics include word processing, spreadsheets, and database management systems. The course also covers electronic portfolios, cloud document applications, and presentation software.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 120  or placement above MATH 120 .

This course will satisfy the core area requirement in quantitative literacy.

This course will satisfy the core requirement in technological and information literacy.
