BMS 494 - Advanced Pathophysiology II 3 Credit Hours This is the second part of a two-semester series in understanding the pathophysiology of diseases. The course looks at the patient’s side of a disease in the patient’s own words. The main focus is on how a patient presents information to the physician. From knowledge learned in BMS 493 , the student will use his or her critical thinking to take patient complaints and determine a diagnosis. Examples include an approach to headaches, chest pain, abdominal pain, fever, back pain, and others.
