FIN 301 - Corporate Finance 3 Credit Hours This course examines important issues from the perspective of financial managers responsible for making investment and financing decisions. Students learn how to create a framework for understanding and addressing financial problems faced by corporate decision makers and then apply this framework to business situations. Topics in this course include time value of money, risk and return, valuation of debt and equity, capital budgeting, project risk analysis, and capital structure decisions. Students are strongly encouraged to complete ACCT 101 and QUAN 201 before enrolling in this course.

Prerequisite(s): ECON 101
This course will satisfy the core area requirement in quantitative literacy.
