FASH 290 - Human Behavior, Dress, and Fashion 3 Credit Hours This course explores fashion and dress (defined as presentation of self) in connection to human behavior and social practices including aspects of gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, body image, religion and agency in appearance management. The course emphasizes auto-ethnographical practices and decentering of Western perspectives.
Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing.
This course will satisfy the core area requirement in humanities and arts.
This course will satisfy the core requirement in multicultural studies.
